CIREBON: FIGHT Esports collaborates with Forest Interactive Foundation this Eid al-Adha, to distribute cows and food aids to communities near Ash-Sholihah Boarding School, Babakan, Cirebon, West Java.

The community surrounding Ash-Sholihah Boarding School was the target beneficiary in July 2022 as the area makes up a part of the growing esports community in West Java, and has also been connected to FIGHT Esports over the years.

The CSR program was initiated to help boost the community's economic recovery after the pandemic.

“Our commitment to donate qurban and food aids is our effort to ensure that our target beneficiaries got proper meal during Eid al-Adha as well,” said Arya Jamil(https://id.linkedin.com/in/arya-jamil), Marketing and Operational Manager, FIGHT Esports.

We Are Social(https://wearesocial.com/uk/blog/) reported that Indonesia is the third country with the most gamers in the world. In January 2022, it was recorded that 94.5% of internet users ranging from ages 16 to 64 are playing video games.

West Jawa is one of the Indonesian provinces with the fastest-growing esports initiatives. According to Tri Suhartanto, President of Indonesia Esports Association West Java Regional, there are more than six million gamers in West Java, and 10% of gamers in Indonesia have come from West Java. One factor contributing to the popularity of esports in West Java is the number of regional tournaments held in this province, such as the Governor’s Cup(https://bapenda.jabarprov.go.id/2022/05/28/kolaborasi-kejuaraan-e-sport-piala-gubernur-jawa-barat-tahun-2022/) and the West Jawa Regional President’s Cup(https://pialapresidenesports.kincir.com/2021/).

A total of 30 food aid packages and a cow weighing almost 350 kilograms were distributed by volunteers from FIGHT Esports in Indonesia. The food aids were bought from a little shop in Cirebon to support small businesses. This effort is aligned with the Forest Interactive Indonesia’s campaign called #DukungBisnisKecil, and funds were donated from the company and the talents of Forest Interactive and FIGHT Esports Indonesia.

Two years ago(https://www.forest-interactive.com/newsroom/2020-a-year-of-sustainable-responsibility-and-resilience/), Forest Interactive also celebrated Eid al-Adha with the communities of Ash-Sholihah Boarding School.
