Hurling Development Committee

Uachtarán Jarlath Burns has re-established the National Hurling Development Committee which includes members with experiences across the hurling development spectrum. The Committee is Chaired by Terry Reilly from the Gort na Mona club in Antrim. Terry was elected as a member of the GAA Management Committee in 2023, has served various roles within his club and county and is still an active referee within Antrim.
The Hurling Development Committee has met on several occasions since becoming operational in March. Aligned with the terms of reference, the Committee will focus on key areas such as the following:
To work with hurling communities/county committees/provincial councils to seek to create new GAA clubs to cater for hurling in regions with limited representation.
Develop guidelines and recommendations for Ard Chomhairle and its sub-committees to enhance the promotion and growth of hurling nationally and internationally.
Compile a club toolkit comprising resources, templates, and case studies to support communities in establishing GAA clubs to cater for hurling.
