Any person who carries on a store business or parlour business
License Due Date
The fee is due by the 31st of January each year
Fees
The fees payable depend on the value of the goods on stock
Value of Stock Amount
Stock of $10,000 & Lower $100.00
Stock of $10,001 - $100,000 $500.00
Stock of $100,001 - $250,000 $1,000.00
Stock of $250,001 - $500,000 $2,000.00
Stock of $500,001 - $1,000,000 $5,500.00
Exceeding $1,000,000 $5,500.00 + $1,000.00 for each additional $1,000,000 of stock
~Stock of $1,000,001 - $2,000,000 $6,500.00
~Stock of $2,000,001 - $3,000,000 $7,500.00
~Stock of $3,000,001 - $4,000,000 $8,500.00
~Stock of $4,000,001 - $5,000,000 $9,500.00
~Stock of $5,000,001 - $6,000,000 $10,500.00
~Stock of $9,000,000 - $10,000,000 $14,500.00
Payments Forms
Remittance forms are mailed to the taxpayers with the due dates
Penalties
There is a 10% fee charged on late payment
Offences
Store Parlour businesses should not be carried out before obtaining a license from the Comptroller. No business shall be carried out in the same premises of any store parlour
Criminal Penalties
Anyone found gulity of any offence against the Act is liable to a fine of $5000 and (or) six months imprisonment
