Radiation Oncologist | MBA-HCM | Health Manager | Global Health | UHC Advocate
Dr. Lyndah Kemunto is a Radiation Oncologist based in Kenya and the Secretary General of the Kenya Medical Association (KMA). She trained at the University of Nairobi (MBChB; MMed, Radiation Oncology) and holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from Strathmore University Business School.
She combines specialist oncology practice with health systems leadership, with interests in equitable access to cancer care, health financing and universal health coverage, and the regulation of the medical profession.
A member of KMA since 2016, she served two terms as Treasurer General on the National Executive Committee (2022–2026) and has been a National Governing Council member since 2019. She was Convener of the Young Doctors Network (2020–2022).
Beyond KMA, she is a gazetted Board Member of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board and an Advisor to the World Medical Association (WMA) Finance and Planning Committee. She is a former Communications and Membership Director of the WMA Junior Doctors Network. She is also a member of KESHO, ESMO and ASCO, and is committed to building sustainable, high- quality cancer services across Kenya and the region.
Dr. Amina Guleid
HON. TREASURER GENERAL
Dr Amina Guleid, MBChB, MSc is Treasurer General of the Kenya Medical Association. She is a medical doctor based in Nairobi, with an MBChB from the University of Nairobi and an MSc in Data Analytics from the University of Cumbria. She practised for over a decade, including at Kenyatta National Hospital, where she headed Universal Health Coverage and Clinical Outreaches, and later led projects, infrastructure and grants at the Ministry of Health. She is Medical Advisor at Sunview Medipro International, founder and CEO of Consultvrse, and a board member of the Kenya Red Cross Training Institute, where she has chaired finance. She is a member of the Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals, a Presidential awardee, and was named among the 100 Most Influential Muslims in Kenya (2025).
A KMA member for a decade, she served two years on the Nairobi Division Council and four years as Divisional Secretary before her unopposed election as Treasurer General in March 2026. On the National Executive Committee she is responsible for stewardship of association resources, member welfare, and a stronger professional voice for doctors and patients.
