About
The Public health committee acts as the interface between the association and the public when it comes to health promotion and prevention practices, creating awareness on emerging issues in the communicable and non communicable disease world through media; legacy and social as well as through public fora and by creating partnerships, and collaborations with like minded organizations to aid in the acceleration and strengthening of this crucial agenda.
Vision
Supporting a healthier future for Kenyans, through empowering people and providing access to contextual information to allow them make informed health decisions, leading to thriving communities, reduced health disparities and an improvement in general health and well-being.
Mission
To promote and protect the community's health through advocacy, education and collaboration in disseminating health care resources.
Objectives
Advocacy - Intergovernmental and multi-sectoral collaboration towards the development and implementation of policies that enhance public health and address health disparities in devolved units and at the National level.
Education and awareness creation - develop strategic messaging around key health issues using multiple fora.
Collaboration - foster partnerships with key health organizations, community leaders and stakeholders to create a unified approach to tackling and preventing public health challenges.
Research and Data - promote research initiatives and partner with health research organizations in the dissemination of previously siloed health data.
Health Promotion - participate in campaigns that encourage healthy behavior and initiatives that safeguard health
